ABSTRACT
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most aggressive malignant tumors, with a poor long-term prognosis worldwide. The functional deregulations global transcriptome were associated genesis and development HCC, but lacks systematic research validation. A total 519 postoperative HCC patients included. We built an interactive visual competing endogenous RNA network. prognostic signature was established least absolute shrinkage selection operator algorithm. Multivariate Cox regression analysis used to screen for independent factors overall survival. In training set, we identified four-gene (PBK, CBX2, CLSPN, CPEB3) effectively predicted survival times in high-score group worse than those low-score (p = 0.0004), death also more likely (HR 2.444, p < 0.001). results validated internal validation set 0.0057) two external cohorts 2.467 2.6). (AUCs 1, 2, 3 years 0.716, 0.726, 0.714, respectively) showed high accuracy complete TCGA cohort. conclusion, successfully extensive ceRNA network then four-gene-based signature, enabling prediction HCC.
