ABSTRACT
Abstract Meta-analytical findings suggested a positive link between trait mindfulness and prosociality. However, most correlational studies on prosociality have relied self-report measures. The present work aimed to address this serious limitation by investigating actual prosocial behavior . We further focused as multi-dimensional personality disentangle effects of different aspects. In addition, we tested whether the relation emerges under theoretical meaningful experimental boundary condition (i.e., feelings guilt). two (using four samples; N = 1240), did not find support for (a) charitable donation (b) in an incentivized economic game, respectively. Evidence manipulated guilt-level moderator was inconclusive. Taken together, point more complex role behavior. Limitations ideas research are discussed.
