Ulcerative and pseudomembranous Aspergillus tracheobronchitis in a patient with acute myeloid leukemia

Ulcerative and pseudomembranous Aspergillus tracheobronchitis are rare, invasive forms of tracheobronchial aspergillosis. The typical focal ulcerative tracheobronchitis has been recognized in patients with AIDS and heart and/or lung transplant recipients, while pseudomembranous forms have usually been found in severely immunocompromised hosts with hematologic malignancies [1].
