ABSTRACT
The objective of this study is to investigate the expression and distribution heat shock protein 70 (Hsp70) in intestine intrauterine growth retardation (IUGR) piglets. Samples from duodenum, prejejunum, distal jejunum, ileum, colon IUGR normal-body-weight (NBW) piglets were collected at birth. results indicated that body weight significantly lower than NBW villus height villus/crypt ratio jejunum ileum reduced compared These causes abnormal gastrointestinal morphologies dysfunction. mRNA hsp70 was increased prejejunum (P < 0.05), However, with decreased. Similar mRNA, levels Hsp70 0.05) higher those intestinal upregulated by IUGR, different sites had responses stress. Meanwhile, localization epithelial cells whole villi gland rather lamina propria myenteron suggested has a cytoprotective role cell function structure.
