ABSTRACT
Heat stress is exacerbated by global warming and affects human animal health, leading to heart damage caused imbalances in reactive oxygen species (ROS) the antioxidant system, acid-base chemistry, electrolytes respiratory alkalosis. Vitamin C scavenges excess ROS, sodium bicarbonate maintains electrolyte balance, alleviates Herein, we explored ability of vitamin alone combination with equimolar (Vitamin C-Na) stimulate endogenous antioxidants heat shock proteins (HSPs) relieve H9C2 cells. Control, (20 μg/ml for 16 h) C-Na groups were heat-stressed 1, 3 or 5 h. Granular vacuolar degeneration, karyopyknosis nuclei mitochondria clearly reduced treatment groups, as apoptosis, lactate dehydrogenase activity ROS malondialdehyde levels, while superoxide dismutase was increased. Additionally, CRYAB, Hsp27, Hsp60 Hsp70 mRNA levels upregulated at h (p < 0.01), protein increased CRYAB 0 0.05) 1 0.01). Thus, pre-treatment might protect cells against enhancing upregulating Hsp70.
