ABSTRACT
Abstract Mozambique biodiversity richness plays a pivotal role to achieve the sustainable development of country. However, Mozambique’s flora and fauna diversity still remains broadly unknown poorly documented. To properly address this issue, one strategic needs expressed by Mozambican institutions was national data repository aggregate, manage make available online. Thus, infrastructure for standardisation, aggregation, organisation sharing primary developed. Named “Biodiversity Network Mozambique” (BioNoMo), such tool serves as aggregates occurrence records plants animals in country obtained from floristic faunistic observations specimens biological collections. In paper, authors present structure BioNoMO, including software details, process gathering taxonomic coverage WebGIS development. Currently, aggregating total 273,172 records, 85,092 188,080 (41.2% terrestrial, 58,8% aquatic), BioNoMo represents largest aggregator it is planned grow further new datasets.
