ABSTRACT
Despite being a leading cause of death worldwide, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is underdiagnosed and underprioritized within healthcare systems. Existing policies should be revisited to include COPD prevention management as global priority. Here, we propose describe health system quality standard position statements that implemented consistent care for patients with COPD. A multidisciplinary group clinicians expertise in together patient advocates from eight countries participated standards review meeting convened April 2021.
