ABSTRACT
Drug-eluting stents (DES) are widely used as first choice devices in percutaneous coronary interventions. However, certain concerns associated with the use of DES, i.e. delayed arterial healing a subsequent risk neo-atherosclerosis, late stent thrombosis and hypersensitivity reactions to DES polymer. Bioresorbable vascular scaffolds next step interventions introducing concept supporting natural process following initial intervention without leaving any foreign body materials resulting adverse events. The first-generation have shown encouraging results multiple studies selected patients up point full bioresorption, introduction regular patient care. During its daily clinical practice outside previously groups, careful approach should be followed which outcome is continuously monitored.
