ABSTRACT
Layered double hydroxides (LDHs), also called anionic clays, consist of cationic brucite-like layers and exchangeable interlayer anions. These hydrotalcite-like compounds, with Zn Al in the chloride space, were prepared following coprecipitation method at constant pH. The affinity this material for Remazol Blue 19, RB19 [2-(3-(4-Amino-9,10-dihydro-3-sulpho-9,10-dioxoanthracen-4-yl) aminobenzenesulphonyl) vinyl) disodiumsulphate], was studied as a function contact time, pH solutions LDH dose RB19/[Zn–Al–Cl] mass ratio. It found that 48 h is enough time equilibrium state to be reached maximum retention 9 an equal 100 mg ratio higher than 3. adsorption isotherm, described by Langmuir model, L-type. results demonstrate on LDHs occurs external surface when or <3 both ion exchange ratios A mechanism removal anion has been confirmed X-ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy TG analysis (TG DTG curves).
