ABSTRACT
Abstract Floods are important in studies related to water resources utilization, dam construction, basin management and hydrological studies. Therefore, a large extent, the accuracy of these safety facilities depends on flood study methods. The aim this was investigate WMS model determining maximum discharge three sub-basins with areas 10.3, 1.5 7.3 square kilometers Kuhgel region located southwest Iran. Comparing results Dicken's experimental method showed that volume estimated by well consistent values method. relative error percentage index, root-mean-square Nash–Sutcliffe coefficient were calculated equal 6.12, 0.51 0.82, respectively. also revealed mean estimates approximately 0.16% higher than Based Student's t-test, difference between not significant at level one percent. show simulates appropriate for basins no statistical data Due high sensitivity SCS rainfall distribution, analysis area is necessary achieve desired distribution its time should be as close possible actual region.
