ABSTRACT
This study explored the potential applications of three newly modified polymers [a linear polymer, a hydrophobic association partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamide (HAHPAM), and polymer–surfactant] as flooding agents in specific oilfield. Rheological measurements were performed to examine rheological performances under reservoir conditions. Their stability, viscoelasticity, propagation properties analyzed simulated Propagation performance analyses conducted sandpack model behavior porous media. The results showed that HAHPAM polymer–surfactant exhibited high viscosity at low shear rates (deep reservoir), all acceptable with good injectivity (near wellbore area). In oscillatory deformation tests, predominantly elastic behavior. polymer could propagate well media, whereas poor finding contrasted tests which was superior, rates. provided insights either into matching viscoelastic or upon analyzing suitability for throughout whole process "from propagation" considerations.
