ABSTRACT
Silver nanoparticles (17.78 ± 12.12 nm) were synthesized by the reduction of 0.5 M silver nitrate using formaldehyde as reducing and triethylamine promoting stabilizing agent. The particles grain like agglomerates with spherical, centered-face cubic crystalline in nature. sample was highly pure amine (NH) associated capping molecules. Further, genotoxicity oxidative stress these evaluated Labeo rohita (L. rohita) genetic model exposed (10–55 mg L−1 dose) through aquatic medium for 28 days. cells produced micronuclei, fragmented, lobed buds nuclei dose dependent manner. highest incidence comet recoded (27.34 5.68) at 55 Ag-NPs 14 days treatment. Then frequency decreased to 22.65 6.66% after due complex repair mechanism. Moreover, treatment also produces disturbs level GST gill liver tissue. There a sharp decline activities this decrease activity increase MDA content. elevated GSH represents that has started defensive mechanism against oxyraidcals. This study concluded, are genotoxic nature produce induces organisms.
