ABSTRACT
Human epididymis protein 4 (HE4) levels and the Risk of Ovarian Malignancy Algorithm (ROMA) have recently been shown to improve sensitivity specificity epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) diagnosis. We evaluated HE4 ROMA as diagnostic tools type I II EOC in Japanese women. Women who had a pelvic mass on imaging were scheduled undergo surgery enrolled patients. Serum carbohydrate antigen 125 (CA125) tested 319 women (131 benign, 19 borderline, 75 malignant, 94 healthy controls). CA125, HE4, for by receiver operating characteristics (ROC) EOC. The results showed that, at % specificity, CA125 was 92.1 both markers 51.5 78.8 %, respectively. sensitivities (type I, 84.8 II, 97.4 %) better than those HE4. all highly accurate II. For CA125. displayed best power including early stage I. In conclusion, are valuable analyses may differentiation between benign mass. Measurement combined provides more method
