ABSTRACT
This study was carried out to evaluate the effects of a Huaier polysaccharide (TP-1) on tumor growth and immune function in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) H22-based mouse vivo. Results showed that TP-1 capable repressing transplanted H22 solid hepatic cell vivo, prolonging live time mice bearing ascetic tumors, pulmonary metastasis H22-bearing mice. Moreover, relative weight organ (spleen thymus) lymphocyte proliferation were improved after treatment. Furthermore, treatment with could promote immune-stimulating serum cytokines, such as IL-2 IFN-γ, but inhibit immune-suppressing cytokines IL-10 secretion Besides, percentage CD4+ T cells NK increased, whereas number CD8+ decreased tumor-bearing following administration. In addition, this compound displayed little toxic major at therapeutic dose, liver kidney. experimental finding suggested exhibited prominent antitumor activities vivo via enhancement host system product be developed individually safe potent biological response modifier for HCC therapy.
