ABSTRACT
The B-cell activator factor (BAFF)/BAFF receptor (BAFF-R) axis seems to play an important role in the development and progression of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Here, we investigated association eight single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) BAFF (TNFSF13B) BAFF-R (TNFRSF13C) genes with risk sporadic CLL a group 439 patients 477 controls. We also examined correlation between selected SNPs clinical parameters as well plasma levels intracellular expression. Our results point possible rs9514828 (CT vs. CC + TT; OR = 0.74; CI 95 % 0.57; 0.97; p 0.022) rs1041569 (AT AA 0.72; 0.54; 0.95; 0.021) gene rs61756766 (CC CT; 2.03; 1.03; 3.99; 0.03) risk. Additionally, observed that homozygotes TT had slightly higher (HR 1.12) for need treatment comparison AT heterozygotes. In conclusion, our indicate may be considered potential factors.
