ABSTRACT
Cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) is a relatively rare, heterogeneous malignant tumor with poor clinical outcomes. Because of high insensitivity to chemotherapy and radiotherapy, there are no effective treatment options. Efforts identify develop new agents for prevention this deadly disease urgent. Here, we assessed the apoptotic cytotoxicity Resina Draconis extract (RDE) using in vitro vivo assays identified mechanisms underlying antitumor effects RDE. RDE was obtained via vacuum distillation 75 % ethanol. The ethanol could inhibit CCA cell proliferation trigger death both QBC939 HCCC9810 lines time- concentration-dependent manner. resulted intracellular caspase-8 poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase protease activation. significantly downregulated antiapoptotic protein survivin expression upregulated proapoptotic Bak expression. also inhibited growth vivo. We observed that human tissues had much higher than did paired adjacent normal tissue. Taken together, current data suggested has anticancer on CCA, function as novel agent benefit patients CCA.
