Quality control in diabetes care using a method of statistical process control

Aims The aim of the study was to measure the quality of diabetes care at the facility level and at the individual physician level at one general hospital in Japan where 16 physicians provide diabetes care. We applied a method of statistical process control to monitoring variations in the performances between physicians.
