ABSTRACT
Regulation of protein abundance is a critical aspect cellular function, organism development, and aging. Alternative splicing may give rise to multiple possible proteoforms gene products where the each proteoform independently regulated. Understanding how abundances these distinct change essential understanding underlying mechanisms many biological processes. Bottom-up proteomics mass spectrometry techniques be used estimate indirectly by sequencing quantifying peptides that are later mapped proteins based on sequence. However, routinely confounded map proteoforms. In this work, we describe technique help mitigate effects confounding ambiguous when proteins. We have applied visualize distribution for whole proteome across 11 developmental stages model Caenorhabditis elegans. The result large multidimensional dataset which web-based tools were developed visualizing translated during development identifying instrument raw files tandem spectra also downloaded. data resource freely available web at http://www.yeastrc.org/wormpes/.
