ABSTRACT
Abstract The gravity data of Gebel El-Maghara area and its surrounding region in northern Sinai Peninsula, Egypt have been subjected to high precision edge detection filters order evaluate the structural tectonic settings study area. Various traditional modern were tested on synthetic then most successful boundaries causative bodies used accomplish study's objectives. By examining power spectrum data, three maps generated using low-pass, band-pass high-pass filters, respectively, representing deep, intermediate shallow anomalies. STDR filter total horizontal derivative applied these image features (faults contacts) construct at different depths. findings demonstrate that major trend faults contacts deep depths predominantly aligns along WNW–ESE direction, while depths, main orientation is observed NE–SW direction. It worth noting structures demonstrates a good agreement with trends derived from both surface map Landsat images. This disparity supports hypothesis formation anticlines linked thin-skinned processes associated Syrian Arc system.
