ABSTRACT
Bone morphogenetic protein-2 (BMP-2), is a potential factor to enhance osseointegration of dental implants. However, the appropriate cellular system investigate osteogenic effect BMP-2 in vitro standardized manner still needs be defined. The aim this study was examine on cell proliferation and differentiation human progenitors various origins: pulp stem cells (DPSC), osteosarcoma line (Saos-2) embryonic palatal mesenchymal (HEPM). For induction differentiation, culture medium supplemented with homodimer alone or combination conventionally used inducing agents. Differentiation monitored for 6-18 days. To assess rate, alkaline phosphatase activity, calcium deposition expression level marker genes (Runx2, BMP-2) were measured. inhibited concentration time-dependent manner. In which caused maximal proliferation, did not induce any tested systems. it had synergistic osteoinductive both DPSC Saos-2, but HEPM cells. We also found that process faster Saos-2 than DPSCs. Osteogenic could induced osteoblast progenitor Our data suggest inhibits evident only presence permissive components. β-glycerophosphate, identified interacting
