ABSTRACT
One of the most noticeable features urban climate is air temperature increase in city compared to surrounding area ("urban heat island"). This study focused on influence occurrence thermophilic and xerothermic bee species from southern Europe. The were relatively common among assemblages observed within Poznań, Poland. In Central Europe, these are only isolated localities and, as shown by present study, areas. Cities enable some Southern European bees move north. During this that rare Poland also observed. respect, draws attention importance areas preserving biodiversity.
