ABSTRACT
Abstract Betulin (BE) has exceedingly become a potential natural product, providing multiple pharmacological and biological activities, including anti-cancer, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory benefits . Previous research indicated that the solvatomorphism of BE can easily occur through crystallization with different organic solvents. This property directly affect its extraction, isolation, preparation process. In this study, system thermogravimetry (TG)–differential thermal analysis (DTA) coupled mass spectrometry (MS) electron ionization (EI) photoionization (PI) capability, equipped skimmer-type interface (i.e., interfaced TG–DTA–EI/PI–MS system), as real-time onsite technique, was employed. Then, four solvatomorphs BE, namely, pyridine water (A), sec -butanol (B), n,n -dimethylformamide (DMF) (C), isopropanol (V), were analyzed for first time. Finally, five kinds main volatile gaseous species, H 2 O, pyridine, -butanol, DMF, isopropanol, identified clearly. Furthermore, multi-step desolvation processes revealed by showed great rapid accurate various products. Graphic
