ABSTRACT
Globalization, advancement of technologies, and increment in the demand customer change way doing business companies. To overcome these barriers, six-sigma define–measure–analyze–improve–control (DMAIC) method is most popular useful. This helps to trim down wastes generating potential ways improvement process as well service industries. In current research, DMAIC was used for decreasing variations bead splice causing wastage material. research initiated by problem identification through voice define step. The subsequent step constitutes gathering specification data existing tire bead. followed analysis steps, where quality tools such cause–effect diagram, statistical control, substantial system were implemented root cause reduction variation. control charts systematic observation process. Utilizing methodology, standard deviation decreased from 2.17 1.69. capability index (C p) value enhanced 1.65 2.95 performance pk) 0.94 2.66. A methodology established that can play a key role reducing defects tire-manufacturing India.
