ABSTRACT
Keratoconus usually presents during puberty and is considered rare in young children. Case report with clinical findings computerized corneal tomography. We the case of an 8-year-old girl early bilateral keratoconus who presented allergic conjunctivitis persistent eye rubbing. Although our patient did not exhibit steep keratometry, cones inferotemporal thinnest thicknesses were detected both eyes using Scheimpflug imaging (Oculus GmbH Pentacam, Wetzlar, Germany). Belin/Ambrósio total D values 1.85 on right 2.11 left. Improvement best-corrected visual acuity was noted after treatment disease, tomographic remained stable 4 months initial consult. This a diagnosed patient. Diagnosis this condition children challenging, as these patients are less likely to complaints, examination unremarkable. screening should be atopy rubbing behavior regardless age, even those no other associated pathology negative family history.
