ABSTRACT
Abstract Polymer-derived ceramics (PDCs) strategy shows a great deal of advantages for the fabrication advanced ceramics. Organosilicon polymers facilitate shaping process and different silicon-based with controllable components can be fabricated by modifying organosilicon or adding fillers. It is worth noting that silicate also from introduction active fillers, which could react produced silica during pyrolysis. The polymer-derived show many unique properties, have attracted attentions in various fields. This review summarizes typical processing to fabricate ceramics, especially highlights three-dimensional (3D) printing technique polymer- derived makes possibility complex structure. More importantly, recent studies on fabricating non-oxide their biomedical applications are highlighted.
