ABSTRACT
The EORTC QLU-C10D is a new multi-attribute utility instrument derived from the widely used cancer-specific quality-of-life (QOL) questionnaire, QLQ-C30. contains ten dimensions (Physical, Role, Social and Emotional Functioning; Pain, Fatigue, Sleep, Appetite, Nausea, Bowel Problems), each with four levels. To be in cost-utility analysis, country-specific valuation sets are required. The aim of this study was to provide Australian weights for QLU-C10D.An online panel quota-sampled ensure population representativeness by sex age (≥ 18 years). Participants completed discrete choice experiment (DCE) consisting 16 choice-pairs. Each pair comprised two health states plus life expectancy. Data were analysed using conditional logistic regression, parameterised fit quality-adjusted life-year framework. Utility calculated as ratio QOL dimension-level coefficient on expectancy.A total 1979 members opted in, 1904 (96%) at least one choice-pair, 1846 (93%) all Dimension generally monotonic: poorer levels within dimension associated greater decrements. that impacted most were, order, Physical Functioning, Role Functioning Functioning. Oncology-relevant moderate impact Nausea Problems. Trouble Sleeping Appetite had relatively small impact. value worst state -0.096, somewhat worse than death. This provides first set QLU-C10D, which can facilitate analyses when applied data collected QLQ-C30, prospectively retrospectively.
