ABSTRACT
With an urgent demand of energy efficient coatings for building fenestrations, vanadium dioxide (VO2)-based thermochromic smart have been widely investigated due to the reversible phase transition VO2 at a critical temperature 68 °C, which is accompanied by modulation solar irradiation, especially in near-infrared region. As commercial applications our daily life, there are still some obstacles VO2-based coatings, such as high temperature, optical properties (luminous transmittance and ability), environmental stability long-time period, well mass production. In this review, recent progress solve above has surveyed. Meanwhile, future development trends also given promote goal production coatings.
