ABSTRACT
The fatigue performance of optimized welded detail has been investigated by experiments three specimens under different loadings. In addition, local finite element models this were established using software ANSYS. influences factors such as plate thickness, gap and initial geometric imperfections on the stress concentration coefficient (SCC) discussed. experimental results indicate that life for is 736,000, 1,044,200 1,920,300 times, respectively. web filler thickness imperfection have relatively less effect SCCs detail. However, cope-hole radius influential weld. SCC weld significantly affected size gap, but other parts are hardly gap.
