ABSTRACT
Abstract In order to improve the cutting performance in broaching, lubrication and cleaning effects offered by water-based fluids with green additives need be studied from viewpoint of manufacturing. Therefore, solutions castor oil, surfactant (linear alkylbenzene sulfonate, LAS), nanographite were prepared ultrasonic agitation sprayed into zone broaching via atomization. The performances fluids, terms viscosity, specific heat, wetting angle, droplet size, evaluated discuss their on load. Among addition LAS oil-in-water (WO-S), where its fluid 10 wt.% oil 1.5 surfactant, exhibited lowest force. With regard lubricating mechanisms, WO-S has good wettability permeability, hence, can lubricate edge tool decrease load, cool keep it sturdy, clean surface sharp. results reveal that simultaneous had remarkable cleaning, resulted a load reduction more than 10% compared commercial fluids. However, could not owing agglomeration.
