ABSTRACT
Abstract Purpose We aimed to study the use of The 4 ‘A’s test (4AT), a rapid delirium screening tool, performed upon Emergency Department (ED) admission, and characterize older patients admitted ED with without sepsis in terms features. Methods In this prospective cohort study, we included aged ≥ 65 years, suspected sepsis. nurses doctors 4AT within two hours after registered time spent on each case. Sepsis during hospital stay were diagnosed retrospectively, according recommended diagnosis criteria.
