ABSTRACT
In this work, cedar cone (CC), an abundant agricultural waste in north Algeria, was used as adsorbent batch mode for elimination of cationic dye crystal violet (CV) from aqueous solution. The functional groups were determined by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. adsorption process examined the functions dose, contact time, initial CV concentration and solution pH. isotherms studied at different temperatures (289–318) K, shape obtained compatible with "L-type" isotherm. equilibrium data fitted Langmuir Freundlich models, using non-linear regression method. results show that best model, good coefficient correlation (R2 = 0.991). processes could be described pseudo-second order kinetic model R2 ≥ 0.997. proved CC a potential removal
