ABSTRACT
Abstract This paper aims to provide a comprehensive summary of the current research on global wind energy systems, in particular Wind Energy Conversion Systems (WECS) with Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG). The analysis is based Scopus database from year 2001 2024 and uses multiple methodologies for analysis. During this period, 3,196 documented papers related DFIG-based WECS systems were identified. Only one was published 2002, while 324 2018. Among 22 countries contributing field, China, India, Morocco led 340, 317, 131 articles, respectively. However, India demonstrated best quality research, only 9% its 317 classified as low quality, 97.2% these considered high quality. Team efforts are prevalent, accounting 79.32% work. most frequently used journals publication Journal Renewable 83 IEEE Transactions Industry Applications 52 International Electrical Power 50 articles.
