ABSTRACT
Rotaviruses and noroviruses are important causes of acute gastroenteritis in children. While previous studies China have mainly focused on rotavirus, we investigated the incidence norovirus addition to rotavirus Southwestern China.From January 2018 December 2020, cases or infections among children under five ages with were evaluated retrospectively.The detection rate was 24.5% (27,237/111,070) 26.1% (4649/17,797). Among 17,113 submitted for dual testing both norovirus, mixed rotavirus/norovirus detected 5.0% (859/17,113) cases. there no difference outpatient compared hospitalized cases, two times more outpatients (26.6% vs.13.6%; P < 0.001). Both peaked aged 12-18 months seeking medical care (35.6% cases; 8439/23,728 32.5% 1660/5107). Rotavirus frequent between March each year while earlier from October December. Our results showed significant correlation virus environmental factors such as average monthly temperature but not relative humidity. In addition, observed a reduction rates at beginning SARS-CoV-2 pandemic 2020.Our indicate that still viral agents pediatric China.
