Assessment of the influence of age and gender on acquired skills by engineering students

ABSTRACT
The aim of this work is to explore the relationship between skills acquired by students Engineering in Nigerian university education system and demographic characteristics students, such as gender age, which could influence attainment these skills. A total 112 were surveyed determine 24 stated they possess. Afterwards, dummy variable multiple regression technique was used for analysis. Results showed a significant especially, age lesser degree, number students. Specifically, study able show that being male student more likely lead acquiring an average about 1.79 than his female counterparts. This so if values all other variables source acquisition are held at constant levels. result presented also who engage external sources activities fare better do not.
