ABSTRACT
To analyse hospital mortality in patients subjected to cardiac surgery Mexico during the year 2015, and identify risks factors, its correlation with days of stay cardiovascular intensive care unit.The database Cardiovascular Intensive Care National Institute Cardiology was examined for this cases controls study that included only adult 2015.A total 571 were a surgical procedure. The predominant indication single or multiple valve replacement surgery, followed by coronary revascularisation correction congenital heart disease. Overall 9.2, 8% died care. main risk factors death preoperative organ failure pulmonary hypertension, prolonged time extracorporeal circulation. primary cause secondary cardiogenic shock. observed population higher undergoing thromboendarterectomy, complex aortic disease valvular surgery.The differs slightly from reported world literature, primarily because there more multivalvular surgeries mixed procedures performed.
