ABSTRACT
The objective of the present work is to investigate potential Resonant Ultrasound Spectroscopy (RUS) as an innovative technique for nondestructive analysis Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) AlSi7Mg0.6 parts. acoustic resonance measurements are tested against experimental database that covers a broad range process parameters and large variations standard volumetric energy density. Two other techniques used assess RUS additively manufactured samples: easy-to-use Archimedes density measurement cost-intensive computerized X-ray tomography. Our results show provides both qualitative quantitative insights allow detection amount lack fusion porosities estimation elastic properties fabricated samples. Quantitative correlations between three testing methods obtained, hinting at how could be effectively systematic post-production LPBF
