Sensitive skin has traditionally been viewed as a cosmetic problem or purely psychosomatic alteration with major subjective component. Different studies of its pathophysiologic etiology, however, have shown it to be complex entity that several authors now consider neurodermatological syndrome. Because this complexity, sensitivity can difficult diagnose and treat, particularly considering may present another disease. Simple tools applicable clinical practice are thus necessary identify manage disease an independent entity. In study, we perform practical review the most recent scientific advances in area sensitive justify being considered individual entity, provide for identification treatment. We propose diagnostic treatment algorithms based on evidence from literature our experience expertise. Tradicionalmente, la piel sensible se ha considerado como un problema cosmético o una alteración puramente psicosomática con fuerte componente subjetivo. Sin embargo, diversos estudios científicos sobre sus procesos fisiopatológicos y su etiopatogenia han demostrado que trata de entidad compleja ya autores consideran síndrome neurodermatológico.
