ABSTRACT
Cancer stem cells (CSCs) have been proposed to explain tumor relapse and chemoresistance in various types of cancers, androgen receptor (AR) has emerged as a potential regulator stemness cancers. However, the underlying mechanism AR-regulated CSCs properties gastric cancer (GC) remains unknown. Here, we shown that AR is upregulated GC tissues correlates with poor survival rate phenotypes patients. According our experimental data, overexpression expression markers this was consistent result concluded from data analysis positively correlated CD44 In addition, obviously enhanced sphere formation ability vitro. Whereas these effects were attenuated by inhibition AR. These results further validated vivo MGC-803 overexpressing had stronger initiate tumorigenesis than control cells, increased chemosensitivity cells. Mechanically, directly binding its promoter region Yes-associated protein 1 (YAP1) served co-factor AR, which demonstrated fact promoting on partially counteracted YAP1 knockdown. Thus, study revealed facilitates via forming complex YAP1and indicates therapeutic approach
