ABSTRACT
Reliable and predictive experimental models are urgently needed to study metastatic mechanisms of ovarian cancer cells in the omentum. Although for cell adhesion invasion were previously investigated, lack certain omental types, which influence behavior cells, limits application these tissue models. Here, we describe a 3D multi-cellular human omentum model, considers spatial arrangement five types. Reproducible fabricated combining permeable culture inserts bioprinting technology mimic processes immortalized patient-derived cells. The implementation an endothelial barrier further allowed studying interaction between during hematogenous dissemination impact chemotherapeutic drugs. This proof-of-concept may serve as platform patient-specific investigations personalized oncology future.
