ABSTRACT
Lateral Lymph Node Metastasis (LLNM) is common in Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma (PTC) and associated with a poor prognosis. LLNM without central lymph node metastasis as skip not common. We aimed to investigate clinicopathologic sonographic risk factors for PTC patients, establish nomogram predicting the possibility of order determine therapeutic strategy. retrospectively reviewed data 1037 patients who underwent surgery from 2016 2020 at single institution. Univariate multivariate analyses were used identify preoperative metastasis. A including was further developed validated. The incidence 10.7%. univariate suggested that gender (p = 0.001), tumor location 0.000), extrathyroidal extension calcification 0.000) independent factors. For papillary thyroid microcarcinoma, 0.001) according predictors developed. receiver operating characteristic curve indicated AUC 0.824 had an excellent consistency. calibration plot analysis showed good performance clinical utility model. Decision revealed it clinically useful. probability developed, which exhibited favorable predictive value female patient, located upper pole more likely have Surgeons sonographers should pay close attention Evidence level: This article's evidence level 3. Level 3 derived non-randomized, controlled trials. In this study, receive intervention are compared control group. Authors may detect statistically significant relevant outcome.
