ABSTRACT
The transcription factor interferon regulatory 4 (IRF4) is critical for the development, maintenance, and function of plasma cells. mechanism by which IRF4 exerts its action in mature cells has been elusive due to death all such upon loss. While we identify apoptosis as a pathway caused loss, also determine that did not regulate intrinsic apoptotic directly. By using an inducible deletion system presence overexpression anti-apoptotic BCL2, genes whose expression coordinated turn specify cell identity mitochondrial homeostasis.
