ABSTRACT
Microstructured membrane reactors present a promising approach to master the productivity and safety challenges during direct synthesis of hydrogen peroxide. However, various mass transport processes occur in this complex system. In order gain deeper understanding these processes, saturation desaturation behaviour liquid reaction medium with gaseous reactants is investigated experimentally examine possible cross-contamination. Moreover, employed PDMS membrane's permeances oxygen are researched at different pressures, by using variable-pressure/constant-volume setup for ambient pressure constant-pressure/variable-volume elevated pressures. A mathematical model MATLAB applied simulate results. It shown that certain gasses through occurs, results underlined modelled ones solution-diffusion MATLAB. Thus constant flushing gas channels reactor required reasons. measured permeance values indicate species mainly limited diffusion phase not resistance.
