Electromagnetic stimulation of the phrenic nerve induces diaphragm contractions, but no coils for clinical use have been available. We recently demonstrated feasibility ventilation using bilateral transcutaneous noninvasive electromagnetic (NEPNS) before surgery in lung-healthy patients with healthy weight a dose-dependent manner.
