ABSTRACT
Global food security is threatened by rice blast disease caused the filamentous fungus Magnaporthe oryzae. An understanding of resistance mechanisms fundamental to developing strategies for control. In this review, we summarize recent advances in pathogen-associated molecular pattern-triggered immunity, effector-triggered defense regulator-mediated and effects nutrient elements on resistance. We outline used breeding cultivars with improved also present major research challenges propose approaches future investigation.
