ABSTRACT
The morphing wing has a significant positive effect on the aerodynamic performance of aircraft. This paper describes leading-edge variable camber with concentrated flexibility based geared five-bar mechanism. driving points skin formed by glass fibre composite sheet were optimized to make deformation smooth. A kinematic mechanism rigidly connected was proposed drive deformation. Besides, new kind flexure hinge designed using pseudo-rigid-body method and applied joint between rigid skin. Finally, prototypes traditional hinges produced, respectively. feasibility verified through comparative experiments ground Simultaneously, analysis carried out compare original airfoil.
