ABSTRACT
Active control of aero-engine turbine tip clearance is one the best chances for engine performance uplift currently. To do that, first requirement real-time measurement in working environment. However, complexity makes it unlikely sensors to be loaded. In recognition this paper proposed a model-based method measurement. Firstly, by considering previously wrongly neglected factors such as load deformation, mathematical model monitor dynamic changes built improve calculation accuracy. Then, after clarifying coupling relationship between models and models, builds component-level integrating characteristics clearance, which helps realize accurate How affects efficiency studied afterwards reported model, so mitigate difference real engines caused clearance. Lastly, hardware-in-the-loop simulation, demonstrates 15.9% better accuracy than terms centrifugal deformation calculation. As takes averagely 0.34 ms calculation, meeting operation requirement, proves an effective new way.
