ABSTRACT
The atomization process of a liquid jet in divergent cavity-based combustor was investigated experimentally using high-speed photography and schlieren techniques under Mach number 2.0 supersonic crossflow. Gas-liquid flow field studied at different angles injection schemes. It is found that complex wave structures exist the combustor. spray can be divided into three distinct zones: surface wave-dominated breakup zone, rapid zone cavity mixing zone. A dimensionless factor defined to describe concentration inside qualitatively. As result, it revealed for large angle cavity, scheme near upstream inlet has higher penetration depth but lower distribution, where more distribution. For small also start point section sufficient with wall transverse an optimized improve both distribution cavity. Finally, formula proposed explain behaviors
