ABSTRACT
Peer reviewed literature on the availability and use of climate services in operations management tourism is scarce. Using a multi-method approach, we provide insights both basic specialised information utilised by range public private sector decision-makers most tourism-dependent region world - Caribbean. We also examined whether existing meets destination planning, marketing operational decision-making needs how industry could more effectively efficiently integrate to enhance performance. Results from research with 47 Caribbean hoteliers policy-makers show that short-term source market weather are widely consulted, but historical longer-term forecasts comparatively lower. There few tailored products services, uptake exist low. Current inadequately fulfills decision-makers' due number challenges, including short history engagement between communities, along partial understanding preferences stakeholders. Evidence suggests new generation can risk amongst suppliers. Further relationship building will be needed support co-production for sector.
