ABSTRACT
Antibacterial and antihyperplasia airway stents are highly desirable for tracheal stenosis. Herein, a series of polylactic acid (PLA) silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) nanofiber membranes (PLA, PLA-4 %AgNPs PLA-6 % AgNPs) were prepared by electrospinning. The physicochemical biological properties the resultant examined. SEM drug release results indicated that AgNPs successfully introduced into PLA, could be sustained to released from membranes. showed antibacterial activity against S. aureus P. aeruginosa, cytocompatibility towards CCC-HPF-1 NHBE cells. Furthermore, used cover self-expandable metallic stent use in treatment rabbit vivo revealed membranes, especially AgNPs-coated suppress stenosis reducing inflammation collagen deposition. Additionally, study further confirmed inhibition bacterial content trachea positively correlated with reduction granulation tissue hyperplasia. Conclusively, PLA/AgNPs membrane-coated has practical value patients clinical
