ABSTRACT
The carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) is widely used in aircraft and wind turbine blades because of their high strength low weight. CFRP sensitive to impact damage detecting damages important for ensuring the structural safety. This study conducted detect using eddy current pulsed thermography (ECPT). were artificially produced by energies 4 J, 6 8 J 10 respectively. lead non-uniform distribution excited coil with frequency alternating current. can be represented heat according Joule's law. And also influence transmission CFRP. change surface temperature recorded form thermal image sequence IR camera. Then defects are evaluated analyzing patterns images. In addition, due energy low, size small cannot observed directly from original order distinguish defects, a multi-resolution statistical analysis method, employing wavelet transform combined principal component (PCA), extract defective characteristics damage. Through this information images has been improved detectability producing discussed.
